As of now, I am unsure where I will be attending college, but I have a few I am looking in to. I am also unsure of what my major will be, so I most likely will begin by getting my general courses out of the way and then hopefully decide. Once I am out of college, I hope to meet an awesome guy and start a family close to home.
Family
My family consists of my dad, mom, 3 brothers (Kyle, Ben, and Luke), my puppy Hazel, and myself. My dad, Daniel, is a plant operator at Koch Fertilizer Plant in Enid, OK. My mom, Trilby, is self-contracting speech pathologist and is currently working in Ponca City Schools. Kyle and Ben are both students at Emporia State University majoring in Business Marketing and Computer Systems, respectively. Luke is a sophomore at Caldwell and my puppy Hazel is a stay at home ball of energy. I have always been close to my family and they are always very supportive of all I do. Since moving to Caldwell I have had the pleasure of living closer to many of my more distant relatives as well and even attending school with some of them.
Friends
Throughout the years I have always lived by the thought that the quality of your friends is more important than the quantity of friends. I have lived in a few different places and I have not really kept in touch with many of my other friends from prior schools except for Jelania from Pioneer. She comes and visits for different occasions and it's cool to see that my Caldwell friends accept her as well. In Caldwell, everyone is a friend, but some of my closest ones I am lucky to have. I have no doubt that they are lifelong friends. The opportunities to travel in Kansas that Caldwell has brought me have also allowed for me to make amazing friends from different schools. I have been truly blessed with these awesome people and have no doubt that they will be around for a long time.
Sports
Sports have always been a huge part of my life. I have competed in gymnastics, dance, soccer, softball, track, basketball, flag football, cheer, cross country, you name it I have probably tried it out. Competing for so many different schools and organizations in so many different things has brought me many great teammates and friends. This year I made the tough decision of switching from cross country, which I had ran for two years, to volleyball, something I had never played before. It was the right choice due to some medical problems I was having, but I was very nervous being a senior in a whole new sport. Volleyball this year taught me that even though you may be scared to try something new, you should really go for it. If you put 100% of yourself into something, then you will improve, especially when you have a team counting on you! Although volleyball season might not have looked very successful from our record, it was so much fun and we had a great time. I truly am looking forward to basketball though, as it has always been the sport that I excel at and enjoy the most!!!
Photography
When I came to Caldwell, a couple of my friends talked me into doing yearbook and considering how much I love pictures and writing, I gave it a shot. Since being in yearbook, I have really taken to photography and even bought my own camera and started somewhat of a business doing shoots here and there. Whether it is sporting events or just doing photo shoots with my friends, there is something about photography that is therapeutic to me. After a long day at school, sometimes just going somewhere and taking a few pictures to edit helps me relax. I love to see people smile and capture the great moments of life to treasure.
